Beccy Writes
In September 2004 I gained a distinction for my MA in Creative Writing. Since this time I have established and facilitated six development programmes for writers, tutored numerous bespoke writing courses, worked as a writer in various projects and continue to lecture in Creative Writing for the University of Leeds. Ink is my business, and I enjoy the opportunities it affords me to work with such diverse groups of people.
I have always been an avid writer and reader, and the courses and programmes that I run come from the point of view of being a writer myself.
On this site you will find more information about me, and the kind of thing I like to write.

What I write
I write about normal people who are either observed by something not quite human, or find themselves in unusual circumstances.
Most of my writing has an offbeat angle to it, whether it features two women in a boat at the end of the world, aliens treating the Earth as their fishing pond, or an individual convinced that he’s being watched.
The logo for this site was inspired by my novella, Intergalactic fly-fishing. This is currently being adapted as a graphic novel.
You can see some examples of my work at Ink Thinks.
